INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Windows XP Operating System

Go to "My Computer"; place CD in CD-rom drive.

When files appear, click on "pngsetup.exe" to unpack files You will be asked for a file path:
type the following: "c:\mydocs" and press enter. It may ask you if you want to create this directory; answer "yes" and continue.

Allow the files to decompress which takes about 5 minutes. When files are done decompressing, you may be asked if you would like to view the slide show now; select "yes" and run the slide show.

If your slide show fails to open (as it may for Windows XP), then go to the "Start" menu at the lower left corner of the desktop. Open Powerpoint Viewer; from the source path at the top of this new window, go to C: Drive first; then select "mydocs". You should see a file folder that reads either "Happy~6" or "Happy~7" (depending on what version of CD you have). Highlight that file and you should see a small window at the lower right of the box which shows the project. Select "show" and the slide show will open.

After you have installed this once you do not need to reinstall again. Just use this process to open the files in PPviewer.

TO PRINT TEXT FILES, LINE DRAWINGS, AND COLOR WORKSHEETS
Files may be printed directly from the Powerpoint Slide by right-clicking mouse button and selecting "print"; or, you can open files through Adobe Acrobat Reader. Most computers have a version of this free PDF file viewing software already installed on their computers. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed, then you must go to www.adobe.com and download the free program first.

All files in Adobe PDF format are printable and viewable. After you have installed Adobe, from your desktop go to "Start"; then select "Adobe Acrobat Reader". When Adobe has opened up, go to "FILE"; then "OPEN", and to the right of "look in" - select the appropriate drive for the CD-rom disk. You should see a list of 11 PDF files which contain linework, directions, color worksheets, and terms. RECAP: "ppview97.exe" is the viewing software; "pngsetup.exe" is the software which decompresses the presentation; and "Adobe Acrobat Reader" is the software that allows you to view and print .pdf files which are not in the slide show presentation.
