THE
AMBASSADOR PROGRAM
The
Ambassador Program was created to assist Chapters that are
in good standing with the Society of Decorative Painters,
by subsidizing a small portion of the travel expense incurred
by one of their Ambassador Artists. Their goal (both Royal
Brush & DecoArt) in extending this financial support
to the Chapters is solely to promote and preserve the art
of tole and decorative painting, and to divert some of the
costs which are associated with bringing good artists and
educators to these areas that may have otherwise not been
able to have them come to share.
Below
you will find a detailed explanation of these benefits which
may be applicable to your Chapter in good standing with
the SDP. Please review all the information below as it provides
an overview of this program.
PLEASE
NOTE:
The Ambassador Program has had changes made to it effective
January 01, 2008.
Any SDP Chapter who has scheduled an Ambassador to come
and teach during the 2008 calendar year will receive the
full reimbursement of both travel & lodging expenses
as defined in the contract. Effective January 01, 2009 and
beyond, anything scheduled will receive only partial travel
reimbursement (25%) of the total cost of travel not to exceed
$500 maximum.
Travel
Expenses
There
is a $500 maximum cap for travel (plane, train, or car)
per seminar and the subsidization is 25% of the total travel
incurred.
Roxanne will secure her own travel reservations (unless
other arrangements have been decided upon), and fees for
this expense will be billed to the chapter immediately thereafter.
After the seminar has been completed, this expense is submitted
to Royal Brush and DecoArt Americana Acrylics for reimbursement
to the Chapter. Reimbursements generally take 30 - 60 days
from the close of the seminar and submission of receipts
to the respective companies.
Through
the generosity of DecoArt, your Chapter will receive at
no additional charge, pigments for the entire painting session
of the seminar.
